After nine years in New York City, my husband, our two kids, and I made the leap to Seattle. Leaving my hometown of Monterrey, Mexico wasn’t easy — I missed the familiar streets, flavors, and fiestas — but Seattle surprised me with its own kind of magic. A lifelong flower lover, I fell in love with Seattle’s colors and textures. Combined with the love of celebration that comes from my Mexican heritage, that spark became a plan: I opened an event planning, design, and flower studio right here in Seattle.
